Peace News Summer Camp

15 May International Conscientious Day 2014
This year’s Day will include a major national event in Tavistock Square in London, backed by the Fellowship of Reconciliation, Pax Christi, Peace Pledge Union, Peace News, Quaker Peace and Social Witness, Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom.
Campaign Against Arms Trade
CAAT is planning to challenge pro-militarist voices during the centenary with a project highlighting parallels between the arms trade then and now, with a particular focus on opposition to the arms trade during and after the war.
No More War
Peace Pledge Union project ‘to reclaim the lost voices of WW1 conscientious objectors.’ Currently looking for volunteers from around the UK to help with research
Legacies of War: War and Resistance
Part of the Legacies of War Centenary project being run by colleagues at the University of Leeds who have research interests in different aspects of the First World War. This strand will be ‘uncovering and presenting the stories of those who resisted the war in various ways.’
